The Difference Therapy Can Make on Your Motherhood Journey

Let’s be real—motherhood can feel like a beautiful mess of emotions. One minute you're soaking in the snuggles, the next you're wondering if you're even doing it right. If you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, sad, or just not like yourself, you're not alone. And you don’t have to figure it out by yourself, either.

Therapy offers a space just for you—to breathe, to cry if you need to, to laugh when it helps, and to make sense of everything you're carrying.

In our work together, you'll start to:

  • Feel more like you again—not the “perfect mom” version, but the real, grounded, whole you.

  • Understand and manage intrusive thoughts, anxiety, or sadness that may have taken hold since baby arrived.

  • Process your birth experience, identity shifts, and relationship changes in a safe, supportive space.

  • Learn tools to care for yourself emotionally, even on the hard days.

It’s not about fixing you—because you’re not broken. It’s about helping you feel more steady, more connected, and more like yourself in this new chapter.

You might notice the transformation in small, meaningful ways:

  • Feeling less snappy or emotionally raw when your baby cries.

  • Being able to enjoy a quiet moment without guilt or racing thoughts.

  • Saying “I need help” or “I need a break” without shame.

  • Feeling more present with your baby—and with yourself.

Therapy can’t make the challenges of motherhood disappear, but it can make them feel more manageable. It can bring you clarity, confidence, and moments of peace you might not have felt in a while.

You're doing the hardest job there is. You deserve support that meets you right where you are.

Therapy that meets you where you are

Why I offer online therapy for new moms:

When you’re in the postpartum season, even the smallest things can feel hard—getting out the door, timing naps, packing a diaper bag, or figuring out childcare just to make it to an appointment.

That’s a big part of why I offer online postpartum therapy for new moms in Montgomery County and across Texas and Colorado.

I wanted to create a way for moms to receive real, meaningful mental health support without adding more stress to their already full plate.

Online therapy allows you to:

  • Talk from the comfort of your own home

  • Stay close to your baby (or join during nap time)

  • Avoid the pressure of getting ready or rushing out the door

  • Access postpartum support even on the hard, low-energy days

Because the truth is—those are often the days you need support the most.

My goal is to meet you exactly where you are in this season. Not where you “should” be, not when things feel easier—but right in the middle of real life.

If you’re looking for online therapy for postpartum anxiety, depression, or overwhelm in Montgomery County, TX, Northern Colorado or access to therapy all across Texas and Colorado you’re in the right place.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. My practice focuses specifically on perinatal mental health, which includes support for postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, intrusive thoughts, birth trauma, and identity changes during the transition to motherhood. Many of the moms I work with appear high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed internally. Therapy provides a supportive space to understand what’s happening and learn practical tools for relief.

  • Intrusive thoughts are unwanted thoughts or images that can feel scary or disturbing. Many new moms experience thoughts about accidental harm coming to their baby or fear that they might do something wrong.

These thoughts are actually very common during the postpartum period, especially when anxiety is high. Having intrusive thoughts does not mean you want them to happen or that you are a bad mom. In therapy, we work on understanding why these thoughts occur and learning strategies to reduce the anxiety cycle that keeps them going.

  • Yes. I provide virtual therapy for moms located in Montgomery County, TX, including:

    • Conroe

    • The Woodlands

    • Magnolia

    • Montgomery

    • Spring

If I add an office space for in person, this page will be updated.

  • Yes. I provide secure virtual therapy sessions to clients throughout Texas. Virtual therapy allows moms to access specialized perinatal mental health support, including support for postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety even if there are no providers nearby who focus on this area.

  • Yes. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing virtual maternal mental health therapy to clients across Colorado, particularly in Northern Colorado communities such as Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, Severance, and Greeley.

  • It can be helpful to seek therapy anytime you notice that anxiety, overwhelm, sadness, or intrusive thoughts are affecting your daily life or your ability to enjoy this season of motherhood.

Some moms begin therapy during pregnancy, while others reach out weeks or months after their baby arrives. There is no “too early” or “too late” time to get support.

Many women find that addressing postpartum mental health concerns early can help them feel more confident, calm, and connected to their family.

  • Postpartum therapy typically focuses on helping you understand the patterns contributing to anxiety or overwhelm and learning practical tools to support your nervous system and emotional wellbeing.

In our work together, we focus on both emotional support and practical strategies so that you leave sessions with tools you can begin using right away.

  • The first step is scheduling a consultation call. This allows us to briefly talk about what you are experiencing, answer your questions, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit.
